TLDR : It’s been some time

A sunset with a beer and a coffee.

The drinks I drink vary wildly to and fro,
from a glass of water to a barrel of rum, Yo ho!
As a wee lad I started with water,
went to tea, coffee, juice, and others

I jumped to vodka, I puked my guts,
can’t hold my drink, truly a putz,
I prefer beer these days, once a while,
In the mornings a black coffee, I’ve gone senile,
It’s disgusting, bitter, no sugar no milk,
it’s as rough as smooth is silk.

I sit there, I wonder, how did I get here,
Black coffee and beer, no exercise, no fear,
I sit on my laptop day in and day out,
typing and typing until I’m burnt out,

Then I go and drink a cup of hot tea,
I surely drink a lot says thee,
I concur and I agree,
with the assessment and degree
of damage that I do
to my body and for you
I’ll try to walk some more,
A sit up here, a push up more,
I do the crunches, and the weights,

Oh wait, I awake,
From my slumber, oh well,
I shall drink my coffee and my water and my beer and my drinks,
To the laziness I say,
to your apparent dismay,
hello my old friend,
Looks like you’re back again

You roll your eyes and sip your tea,
I laugh, merrily drink my coffee,
We sit together in the sun,
Oh my, What fun!

Sidenote: You remember when I wrote an entire article (actually 2) about how reading philosophy is difficult and academic papers are filled with complete jargon?

Well, let’s just say that I discovered the ‘Postmodernism generator’. Talk about validating oneself (at least partially, anyway).

Rabbit hole I went down this weekend on YouTube.

James Lindsay — A New Era of Social Justice: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5cVOY_saVE

Applied Postmodernism: How “Idea Laundering” is Crippling American Universities: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XeXfV0tAxtE

The Grievance Studies Affair — REVEALED: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kVk9a5Jcd1k

I also have a personal story of this sort of nonsense. More comedic than disturbing, but fascinating nonetheless.
